Description
Several months in the past, I walked into my place of work, Cesar Millan, Inc., and noticed the workers crowded around one computer display screen, making "ooh" and "aah" noises. I nudged my way in to see what all the fuss was all about. There in front of me, in a barely blurry video, was a muddle of six lovable Shiba Inu puppies—three male and three female—in a padded canine mattress, playfully crawling over each other. When I learned that this is a real-time live video feed, I was involved and inspired. The breeders—a San Francisco couple— had set up a video digital camera to function a kind of "child display" so they could keep an eye on their costs always. The employees at the net organization that installed the camera fell in love with the puppies and started sending hyperlinks to different pals. The hyperlink went "viral," and millions of humans in more than forty nations have been glued to their laptop screens, watching the homegrown phenomenon that was called "The puppy cam." During a time of countrywide economic pressure, visitors claimed that looking at the Shiba Inu dogs calmed them down, distracted them from their concerns, and had a typical wonderful effect on their mental health.
The puppy cam experience stimulated several canine whisperer personnel contributors to install webcams for monitoring their dogs at home. Once the Shiba Inu puppies grew up and moved on, there were usually a few new doggy journeys unfolding on one in every of our office computers.
Whatever your cultural background, the language you communicate, your race, creed, or religion, you'd be a product of stone not to be moved by seeing the antics of dogs. Their apparent helpless, adorable, and clumsy behavior in trying to discover a world that is new to them routinely awakens the nurturing instincts that nature has implanted deep in the genes of each man and woman, toddler and grandparent. And as the testimonials from puppy cam fans show, loving dogs is ideal for us! Puppies convey us toward our innocent, natural animal selves. They relieve our pressure, enhance our fitness, and remind us that actual happiness exists most effectively at the moment. Loving and raising a puppy can be one of the richest, most rewarding reviews of someone's entire existence. And once that domestic dog becomes a complete-grown canine, the bond created at some stage in those first eight months—the stage that I call puppyhood—can solidify into the form of relationship and a good way to preserve you during your canine's lifetime and past.
However, the reality that our human hearts robotically soften into butter every time we see a puppy doesn't make us qualified to raise one. That's why I'm penning this book.
